From Trauma to Healing and Hope!

I foster and adopt special needs children.

I love the little projects that we do once a week! I also get the homeschool curriculum, and my now adopted 5-year-old with ADHD/high functioning autism was sitting at the table this morning retelling the story of Moses up to when God talks through the burning bush, saying he is I AM. This little boy was traumatized and on drugs at just 3 years old when I got him. I love that God is working his way into his life, and this little boy LOVES learning about Jesus!!

I also use this with my adopted 9-year-old, who has autism, adhd, and is minimally verbal. I do have to teach like I am teaching my five-year-old, but he is also retaining the information! His story was so bad that the life he lived before he came to me four years ago was like something out of a horror movie.

The box is so good for fine motor skills and helps put a visual to the story which helps retention! The monthly homeschool lessons take about 30 minutes and include activities that help them put a visual to the story, work on fine motor skills, and are something my boys LOVE doing every night and get excited about.

We love this subscription, and I will continue to get it! We did HelloBible before it became Rooted, and I like that the crafts are a little different from the HelloBible ones. Can't say enough great things!

It's so wonderful to see children who have endured such horrible things learn about the love of God/Jesus/Holy Spirit and watch them apply the Word to their everyday lives!

We are absolutely loving Rooted Kids! As a mom, I was looking for something that would actually keep my kids engaged while learning about the Bible—and this has been such a win for our family.

My kids get so excited when the box comes, and I love that we can sit down together, do the activities, and talk about what we’re learning. It doesn’t feel like “school” to them—it feels fun—but I can see how much they’re really understanding and growing.

I also love how everything is already planned out for me. It takes the pressure off and helps me feel confident leading our time together.
